The Gun Mount

My first military vehicle was this M35A2 with a M66 gun ring.  I sold the truck last year.  I still have the gun but everything else is gone.  The gun is a dummy, of course.  This picture was taken at Owens Field in Columbia, South Carolina after the Veterans day parade.

Bringing another one home

I now have a "bobbed" deuce.  It's four wheeled truck I made by cutting the frame and removing one of the rear axles.  I still have lots of work to do to it but it is now road worthy with four 14.5 x 20 radial tires on custom wheels.  I have posted lots of stuff on Steelsoldiers about it.  Visit the site www.steelsoldiers.com and look for post from Blythewoodjoe.  Here's a few pictures of the truck.

LINKS:

Here's a few links to other people with lots of knowledge about old green things.

If you need a truck and don't mind going up north to get it, I would recommend checking out Joe Young.  I have never heard a complaint about his trucks.  Nothing but lots of pleased customers.  Check out his web site.

Doug's Heavy metal.  Lots of great info from all over the world.  It will take you a week just to read all the info on his web site.

Mark's Green Truck page.  Very good info for any Deuce owner.  Web site.
